Cowboy and Sue Fisher, owners of Fisher Studios, have a combined experience of 48 years in graphic design, advertising and marketing.
Cowboy got his early hands-on training at several New York ad agencies. He had the opportunity to develop his design and typography skills, and he put his natural writing talents to work to create copy. His leadership ability was evident as he quickly worked his way into management positions.
In 1983, Cowboy was offered an Art Director position at one of the world's largest print media agencies. He passed on this offer, however, as he had fallen in love with Greensboro, NC and made plans to move south. In Greensboro, he continued to work as a graphic artist.
With a lifelong love of art, Sue's first formal training took place at Randolph Technical College (RTC) - now RCC. The intense pace of that well-known graphic art program well prepared her for the fast-paced world of marketing. While honing her illustration and design skills, she learned the technical aspects of the printing industry. While at RTC, Sue also had the opportunity to be involved in a grant program to test the viability of the first Macintosh computers as they related to graphic design.
Following her graduation in 1986, Sue got a position at a clothing manufacturer in Greensboro. There, she enjoyed developing various screen and applique designs for clothing.
In 1988, Cowboy and Sue met and, since that time, have been inseparable. In addition to their marriage, they decided it was only natural to merge their professional lives, as well. So in 1988, Fisher Studios was formed.
20 years later, the design, illustration and copywriting skills the couple had when they met are still the basis for the services they provide today. Though technically many things have changed, and more and more digital services are now available, nothing beats the solid foundation of strong design and marketing offered by Fisher Studios!
